For nearly the next two days, room 1272 was home for this happy family.
Besides Grammy and Grumpy, GiGi and Pepe also came to visit on Tuesday (GiGi being Great Grandma, and Pepe being Great Grandpa, who needed a French-sounding name to go with GiGi).
That night, Adam got a few hours of sleep while Paige and I had nurses and doctors and technicians in and out of the room to check up on us or take blood or give shots. We spent most of Wednesday in the room together. Adam and I just wanted to hold and watch our little miracle.
Great-Great Auntie Janice came to visit, and so did Great Aunt Tina.
By Wednesday night, lack of sleep and the flow of hospital staff in and out had caught up with me. Adam had managed to catch some zzz's, and around 2:00am he volunteered to take Paige out for a walk around the mother-baby wing of the hospital.
Little did I know, but their walk lasted almost two hours! Adam says they walked something like two dozen laps around the mother-baby wing, and saw two newborns admitted in the middle of the night. As for me, the sleep really helped!
Thursday morning went by fast, and soon we were discharged, ready to take Paige home!
