10 Months Old

Our little girl is ten months old today, but she's getting to be such a big girl! 

We were up at my parents house for the weekend, so

Paige woke up on her ten month birthday at Grammy and Grumpy's house. She enjoyed grits and scrambled eggs that Grumpy prepared for breakfast.

Over this past month, Paige's 'likes' include:

• DANCING! She sure feels the groove - her best move is one we call the "Stevie Wonder" move - can you picture it?

Here she is clapping - I think there is music playing in her head all the time:)

• Feeding herself finger foods.
• Screaming with excitement -- at everything!
• Reading all her "board books" (like, every one, every day!). She loves to flip the pages herself while you read the words. 

Here she is with one of her favorite books....

• Taking her baby doll for a stroll -- she's good at the straightaways, but needs help turning
• Darting for stairs
• Climbing in her Bumbo chair...and then out...and then back in again. Well, you get the picture.
• Walking around the house with Mommy or Daddy holding her hands
• Trying to get Molly to play with her
• Giving hugs to her stuffed animals

• Snuggling (most times now when you pick her up she likes to lay her head on your shoulder. It is sooo cute and we hope this phase lasts a long time)
• Moving her tongue left to right and saying "la la la la la"
• Airplanes. Well, we're not sure if this is a 'like', but it sure is a fascination. She looks around and listens when she hears a plane flying by (we're in the flight path for John Wayne Airport), and if we're outside she watches it fly overhead.
• Dude! - her new "word" of the moment.

Dislikes:

• Having to nap -- there's too much fun to be had! She'd rather stay awake and play and act like a goofball.She is definitely headed in the direction of one nap a day in the next couple months.
• Sun in her eyes
• Wearing sunglasses (a problem when you don't like sun in your eyes).
