Paige just had her two year doctor's check up
(I guess we can't call them "well baby" exams anymore, since she is such a big girl.:)
She measured in at 33 inches (25%) and 26 lbs (40%).
Dr. Bruner said she would most likely be in the 5'6" ballpark for height.
Dr. Bruner could not believe Paige's vocabulary and said she has the vocabulary of a 3 or 4 year old!
She can have full conversations now and can speak in sentences of at least 7 words and often times more. She still loves to sing and says some of the funniest phrases now.

I don't know how Paige knows to use the right words in the right places, but she does.
We didn't know if Paige was able to recognize all her letters, but last week in the bath we were quizzing here and we said "which letter does the word button start with, which letter does king start with, which letter does water start with and so on and she was able to find the foam letter that the word started with for up to 12 letters. So, not only does she know her letters, but she knows what sounds they make! This was a shocking discovery for us.
I guess we need to move onto reading next! :)

Some of Paige's favorite "big girl" words these days are "actually" (as in "Mom, Paige actually does need a bib") as well as "amazing" and "interesting". She makes up her own verbs all the time too. Our favorite is when she is playing pretend with her animals or ducks and they are meeting each other Paige says that they are hiing:) She is also likes to say that this is "supposed to be" whatever the case may be:)
The other morning we were eating strawberries and she said
"These are berrylicious" She is a crack up!
This morning we sat down at the kitchen table where we have had a vase of fresh picked flowers and she said "Mom, Paige's flowers are melting".
Me: "Yes, they are wilting, sweetheart"
Ysterday one of her little animals was looking in a mirror and he said
"Ooo La la" Really???
I could go one forever with these funny things that come out of her mouth.
We have full on conversations together about some of the most interesting things:)
She understands so many concepts and these days she is always saying "Paige has an idea" and we ask her what her idea is and it is always something extremely profound like
"We should use an umbrella if it raining out" :)
Paige can also recall so many things now from months ago and even from throughout her day, so that she can now tell us all about her day.
We just got back from a trip to Costco tonight and we asked her what they have at Costco. She said "food, playgrounds (they had a swingset in the store set up), boxes and movies (we broke down and bought a few Disney movies (they were only $12.99!!)
Paige's favorite thing in the world these days is
"Paige's pink and white puppy named Sally"
This dog goes everywhere with us and needs a bath just about every other day. Sally is always getting into messes!:)
These pictures are from a trip to the zoo last Friday. Adam took Paige to the zoo and they rode the carousel. Well, guess who had to have her own pony to ride? Yep, Sally!!:)
I am completely fascinated with this stage and love listening to everything Paige thinks up to say.
It is true that you never know what is going to come out of their mouth next!:)
