Our Visit to WI

We were in Wisconsin for a whole week, but it went by so fast that it seemed like only a weekend. We had such a great visit and loved seeing all of the family. We stayed with "Grandpa and Grandma" and Paige was in heaven at their house. Their entire basement is full of every toy imaginable.

You could spend hours playing down there. I think Paige was a little overwhelmed and didn't know where to begin playing:)

Paige's cousins, Aura, Ability, & Seek were staying at grandma and grandpas the entire first weekend we were there too, so we got to do a lot of playing with them. Aura and Adam lined up all of the Little People and counted over 200 of them! Like I said, Paige was in heaven!:)

In the evening we roasted marshmallows...

...and then we all needed to take a bath:)

Grandma and Grandpa's basement even had a see-saw. By the end of the week, Paige was riding it on her own and she loved being able to use two of her favorite words (up and down):)

Grandma and Grandpa also had great toys outside. Paige's favorite were the little cottage playhouse and the slide (again, she got to go "up" and "down":)

On Saturday, everyone played in the blowup princess pool....what a treat!

Here are all the cousins looking out the window waiting for lightning. None ever came that morning. We only had some overnight while we were there and Paige never woke up for it. We will have to see if next year Paige can see her first thunder and lightning storms....

Paige helped out plenty in the yard too...mowing the lawn and re-potting plants:) Of course, she had to have plenty of mosquito repellent on the entire time:)

 

We took walks around the neighborhood too...

Here is Paige on the little slide that she just loved. She was the perfect age for it. She would like out the windows from inside the house and when she saw it, she would say "shooh", like she was going down the slide. She started to say that whenever she saw any slide after that while we were driving too...pretty funny. We would hear her in the backseat say "shooh" and sure enough, we would look around and there was a slide. This is becoming more and more common. We will be walking around and I will hear her say "moo" or "whoo" like an owl, or  pant like a dog and then we look and there is either a cow, an owl, or a dog, etc.:)

 

On the Sunday we were there we got to go to Will's birthday party and get together with all of the cousins.

 

Paige got too see Noel (Adam's cousin) and Paige just loved her:) She is such a sweet girl.

 

...and we of course at cake...another of Paige's new favorite words. In fact, many of her new favorite words are food items (not surprising!) She came home from Wisconsin saying "cheese" and "brat" - pretty funny! We thought we would wait to teach her "beer":)

While we were in Milwaukee was also got to meet our newest cousin, Isaac! He is 6 months old and such a cute little boy. He has such a laid back personality and was very good about sharing his toys with Paige (who wanted any of the toys that he was playing with at the time:)

We were so happy to finally meet him and it was so nice to visit with Gary and Lindsay at their house.

Isaac has been making the funniest little face lately where he squinches up his nose. I like this picture because it is like he is looking at Paige and saying "Ewww, a girl:)"

Found this wood snowman on a walk around Gary & Lindsay's neighborhood....I guess this will do until we get the courage to come visit WI in the winter:)
