Beach Day!

Can you believe it? It is already the end of July and we just made it for our first beach day of the summer today? It is sad that we live 20 minutes from the beach but just can't seem to get there as often as we like.

After today we will definitely have to go as much as we can! This is probably THE best place in the world in Paige's world and the best kept secret of where to bring kids if you just want to sit and relax. Paige could have entertained herself for hours at the beach. Oh, wait a minute - she did!

We decided to try out Little Corona beach and it was really a great spot!

Here she is after a PB&J "sand"wich.....literally, most of it was sand, but she didn't mind:) 

Happy Girl - We now say "Show us happy" and she smiles and says "hap" (again, no y's yet...)

She was very much in awe of the ocean..

So, lately Paige has been trying to do somersaults. What better place to try them out than at the beach??:) Did I mention that we had to do a double rinse in the bath tonight to get out all the sand from her hair?? 

 

As an added point, I just found out from my friend, who is from the Phillipines, that it is believed that when a child tries to stand on their head it means that they are asking for a brother or sister...isn't that funny?!?

Right before we left Paige started rolling down the beach from our beach blanket towards the water and thought that was so much fun! 

I am not sure I have ever seen her have so much fun for such a long time. She will definitely sleep good tonight!
