Down on the Farm

We had another fun weekend and they always just go way too fast!

We started the morning with a new music class that we just started back up. This is the best one we have been to and I think it will be a fun one to keep up with. I really like going to these classes Saturday morning as a family and it is right by a Jamba Juice, so I can definitely see a little family routine coming our way of going to music class and then heading to Jamba:)

After class we headed up to Grammy & Grumpy's house for the night. Luckily, Paige took an early nap in the car on the way up there so she could rest up for the busy day ahead. We had no idea what was in store for us, but apparantely she did:)

Here is a cute picture of Paige playing with some of the MANY toys that Grammy & Grumpy have at their house. For the last 4 days before we went to their house, everyday Paige has asked if today was the day that we were headed to their house. I kept telling her 3 more days, 2 more days, etc. She just loves it there!

We decided to head over to a family farm about 10 minutes from my parents place to get some fruits and veggies for dinner. Well, we had no idea how amazing it would be. They have made their farm into such a fun place!

Heading out in the wagon to pick our veggies. We picked lettuce and made BLT sandwiches and corn for dinner that night - YUM!

 

Here is the amazing goat tree house that they had there. All of the goats walk all over the ladders and walk above you. There are little food funnels and elevators that you can use to feed the goats too....it was ingenious!

Can't pass up a pony ride. Paige has been on so many pony rides, that this is like an old hat now. I think she could have fallen asleep on this ride if they went around a couple more times..

This was another cool thing....they turned a combine harvester into a slide!

Mommy went down the slide first, then Paige, and then Grumpy. It was a fully enclosed tunnel and the slide was SUPER fast. I was pretty impressed that Paige was brave anough to go down on her own:)

They had an entire train built of wood that you could climb through and one car even had a picnic table in it - so cool!!

Children of the Corn - heehee

They had these cool tractor tire tunnels built into one of their hills. Paige loved crawling through these and hearing her echo.

Paige now likes to put nail polish and lipstick on everyone. Here is Grammy with some lipstick on. Not quite sure if make-up artist is Paige's calling:)

What a great (unexpected) day on the farm. They had a neat little animal show too that we went to where they brought out a pig, a dog, a rooster, a goat and a sheep. All the kids could ask questions about them and then they could go up and pet them afterwards. One animal they brought out was a rat. Last night after we had gotten home from uor trip, Paige out o the blue said "The rat climbed up her arm". It is just so funny to find out what sticks in their little brains and what they remember. This weekend, Paige started saying "Mom, remember when....." for everything.

We will definitely be back to the Underwood Family Farm for a visit!
