Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas Visit! - 1st Day

On Friday our first full day together with Grandma and Grandpa we decided to head to Irvine Park and ride the railroad and visit the zoo there.

The weather was really nice (especially compared to the freezing temperatures in Milwaukee), perfect for an outdoor train ride. The train tracks wind a big loop through the park, and the ride finishes with a trip through the "Tunnel of Lights".

The Orange County Zoo inside the park has all kinds of animals native to the Southwestern US. It's decorated for Christmas this time of year.

Even the mountain lion pen had Christmas trees (but he had his knocked over).

We were a day too early for Santa at the zoo, but we did get to sit in his chair.

To finish off the day we went to one of Grandma and Grandpa's favorite So Cal fast food restaurants, Farmer Boys. Paige got to sit in a restaurant high chair for the first time, and even got to hold a french fry (what is it with grandpas wanting to make Paige hold food?) :)
