Happy 4th of July

So, many of you may have noticed that we had gotten behind on our Blog while we were away in Wisconsin..the WI trip blogs will follow shortly...I am working my way backwards to catch up:)

After returning from Wisconsin the day prior we had our annual 4th of July Party to go to the next day!
It starts off with the best breakfast that we get to eat all year - grandma makes homemade refried beans, potatoes and rice with tortillas and this year we got to make our own omelets in ziplock bags that cooked in boiling water - such a great idea!

All of this food is followed up by a BBQ in the afternoon. So good! The specialty drink being made this year was Sangria and fun was defnitely had by all again this year.

Here is Grandpa taking some time out from BBQing to hold Paige. He was so excited because Paige spit up all over him and I think he felt like he was being christened or something:) It was pretty funny.
Paige says " I can't wait to do this again next year!" j/k - is this the most none expressive face you have ever seen?This was the first year that we did not stay for the fireworks, which was sad, but Paige has a good thing going with her bedtime routine and we didn't want to mess with it:)
