Summer Beach Day

Since summer is coming to an end next week, we decided that we needed to squeeze a beach day in before summer is officially over. We went to Crystal Cove Beach with our friends, Jason and Lisa for Paige's first official "beach day".

We went just long enough to enjoy a nice lunch, dip into the ocean, and catch up a bit.

Paige had fun hanging out in her cabana, but it sure was a lot of work trying to keep her out of the sun or with enough sun screen on. We luckily made it home without getting sunburned - yay!

It was a hot day at the beach, so Paige stayed in her diaper the whole time we were there.

Paige looking out at the ocean. She put her feet in a bit, but every time the wave would come up to shore she would make a little yell, like she was scared (even if we were holding her way up high).

Leaving our first beach day...there was sand everywhere! Trying to get the sand out of Paige's many crevices was hard work once we got home:) Paige was exhausted and fell asleep on the way back up the trail to the car.
