Passover

We celebrated Passover on Easter (Eastover). It is truly one of my favorite holidays in terms of tradition and the meaning behind all that is involved. I just love that the purpose is to share the story of the Israelites being freed and all that they went through to get there. 
Here is the whole gang (minus Heather, Brian, Adam, myself and Paige, who were at the table at the end) For Brian, Stephanie, and Paige this was their first Passover.
Grandpa and Uncle Marty read the story and we all read are parts. 
We were so impressed with how well cousin Kyle read his part - we think maybe he can be the leader next year:)

Here is Paige enjoying all the yummy food. Everything was so good and Auntie Janice did such a wonderful job preparing everything....it is a lot of work and we so appreciate the effort she puts out to make sure that the tradition is carried on in our family. 

Paige ate everything! Gefilte fish, matzo balls, tsimmes (YUM), briscuit, chicken, broccoli, and charoset (double YUM). Paige did so well and made it through most of the 2 hour Sedar dinner. She is lucky that she has such an amusing and entertaining family:)

 Paige is so lucky to get to take part in these traditions. Since you must eat unleavened bread over this holiday it always fun to see what kind of desserts you can come up with, My mom made 3 different desserts and they were the best Passover desserts we have had yet!

This year Cadee found the afikomen. The big winner of the Deal or no Deal game was Ryan who won $20 (it was Paige's envelope to start with), but Paige wasn't too sad because she ended up with one of the $10 envelopes. It is being deposited into her college fun tomorrow:)

Why is this night different from all other nights?  

....Because we were able to spend Paige's last "first" holiday with so many of the family who love her.
