SNOW!! (Big Bear)

We decided to make a trip to the mountains to Big Bear this year (about 2 hours away from our house) and we picked the perfect weekend for it! We drove up early Friday afternoon before the storm hit and arrived at the cabin and got all settled in before the snow storm came in Friday evening and all day Saturday. It was soooo amazing! About 2 feet of snow fell while we were there and some of the locals were saying that this is the most snow that they have seen from one storm at once.

Here is Paige checking out the snow. She actually took to it much better than I thought she would and was just happy to play in it for quite some time!

Here is Paige helping Daddy build a bowling alley out of snow:)

...and sledding!!! She loved sledding. She kept saying that she wanted to go "down  mountain byself" She kept saying "again":)
She must have some of that Wisconsin blood in her.

We brought Jingle pup up to the snow too, along with Molly:) Molly had a great time once she figured out the whole snow thing. She did like having to wear a sweater, but did like that Grumpy threw bacon grease out in the snow. She dug in the snow for about 10 minutes at one point trying to find the bacon grease:)

Here is a look outside of the cabin window during the snow showers.
It was sooo beautiful! Paige thought it was really amazing Saturday morning when we woke up to find Grumpy's car covered in snow.

It snowed all day Saturday. We did get out and play in the snow for some of the day and we even ventured out to the Village....now, that was an adventure! There were not too many people out and we had to use snow chains. At one point one of our chains fell off in the street and another time we were driving (my dad was driving his car) and all of a sudden a huge "avalanche" of snow came down onto the windshield from the roof and blocked his view right in the middle of driving!:)

The rest of the day we stayed indoors and ate yummy food that Grammy prepared, we read books, and did lots of arts and crafts projects. Here is Paige making a snow man...

......and here is the final product!

...this was also suppossed to be a snowman, but it turned into a snow caterpillar:)

Paigey and Mommy:)XOXOX

"Silly Daddy!"

A cute little cuddle bug all cozy in her snowsuit:)

Trying to catch snowflakes on her tongue (we saw actual snowflake shaped snowflakes - they were beautiful!:)

Happy in her snow chair:)

Adam was definitely having just as much fun playing in the snow as Paige. While Paige took her nap on Saturday Adam and I went out and played in the snow for a while....it was soooo much fun!

Here we are walking in the village on Saturday.
It was a pretty desolate place that day.....and cold!

A quick shot during the snow storm...

Paige walking along the road in the village. She looks like such a little snow bunny here. Grammy gave in and bought her a little pony in a purse that she wanted. We, of course, named her snowflake:) As she was walking a long this road she actually said "move snowball please" when we came upon a snowball. Oh - aren't we a princess!!

Here is the cabin we stayed on. It belongs to Randy and Kathy, who are my mom and dad's good friends from high school. It was so nice of them to let us stay up here for the weekend. Check out those icicles! Paige actually got to suck on one (I think her molars appreciated this)

Daddy and Paigey sledding some more...

Sitting in the snow...

Building a snowman...

We will call him Mr. Pretzel:)

Here are some fun videos playing in the snow...

This video is pretty pathetic looking, but she did have fun making the angel. I think she could have fallen asleep here.

Love her reaction to walking in snow!:)

Quite obvious that Adam misses the Wisconsin climate. Who was having more fun, the child or the dad?

Oh my gosh so cute! I love that she has so many different winter outfits and she hardly ever sees snow! So cute! She is a fashion diva! :) Paige and Katelyn should trade places... Paige likes it WAY more than Katelyn :)
