Halloween... with Paige!

Halloween was so much fun this year. It is just so much fun watching and experiencing everything through your kids eyes. It sure makes you appreciate the wonderment and little things that make holidays so exciting.

We went up to Grammy and Grumpy's house for the weekend and boy, are we sure glad we did. Grammy and Grumpy sure know how to make a baby's first Halloween special. Grumpy carved a pumpkin that looked just like Paige, since her face right now is always saying "oh".

There must have been hundreds of kids out trick or treating in their neighborhood and Paige got to go out with all of the big kids. 

We left for trick or treating at about 6: 30pm (soon after dark) (That night we had to turn the clocks back, so it was nice that Halloween we got to enjoy a little bit more daylight one last time this year)

We met up with one of my friends from high school, who lives in my parents neighborhood. Kaylene took her daughter, Bree, and son, Kale out trick or treating and we got to go with them for a while.

 Paige thought trick or treating was great! She definitely was much more involved than I thought she would be this first time out. She definitely watched all the kids and we strolled her around with her pumpkin strapped to her stroller and she collected quite a bit of candy. I think the hit of the night for her was that she got to hold her own flashlight! She thought it was so cool. She kept putting it in her mouth and lighting herself up - very spooky! :)

Her favorite candy that she got all night were gummy bear. She wouldn't put them down, although she was confused why they were called gummy bears when to her it was just really crunchy and crinkly.

Once Paige was in bed, Adam and I stopped by Heather and Brian's place for a Halloween get together. Heather sure is the hostess with the mostess!

 I wonder what Paige will dress up as next year?????
